To know God. To search for Him. To pant after Him.

That is my desire. Just not a burning, driving desire.

Not yet.

But this morning I am both convicted and encouraged by the first five verses of Proverbs 2.

“My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;

“So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding;

“Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding;

“If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;

“Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.”

Receive and hide.

Incline unto and apply to.

Cry after and lift up for.

Seek and search for.

Understand and find.

Like I said at the beginning: Not yet.

But I have hope.
