Sometimes we just need a little good news.

“He shall send from heaven, and save me . . . . God shall send forth his mercy and his truth” (Psalm 57:3).

That’s not just a little good news; that’s a lot of good news!

And here is something to make it even greater:

“For thy mercy is great unto the heavens, and thy truth unto the clouds” (Psalm 57:10).

The abundance of His mercy and truth way supercedes my need.

But what shall I make of this next verse?

“All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies” (Psalm 25:10).

My relationship with God functions only as a two-way relationship. He does His part. I am to do mine.

And having received mercy and truth, let me give them in my relationships with others:

“Let not mercy and truth forsake thee . . .” (Proverbs 3:3).

May I remember that today!
