Early!
Like this:
O God, thou art my God;
early will I seek thee:
my soul thirsteth for thee
in a dry and thirsty land,
where no water is.Because thy lovingkindness is better than life,
my lips shall praise thee.
I’m 51 years old. It’s too late for me to seek God early in my life that way.
But it’s only a little after seven in the morning here in Oregon. That still qualifies as early, doesn’t it?
Or how about seeking God early in the process of making a decision?
Or early in a problem or affliction or test?
Seek God early!
Oh, I didn’t tell you: Psalm 63.
This is a good reminder for me, especially the application you made to decision making, and problems. I tend to try everything else in the tool chest, (ie my own resources and wisdom), then, when all else fails I seek God. I should go first to Him and let Him lead me. It’s easy to say, but it goes against my natural bent.
