Not on your terms
Reading:

Joshua 24

God invites us to serve Him, but on His terms.

God expects His people to improve from one generation to the next.

Stand for God no matter who stands against Him or who doesn’t stand with you.

After all that God has done for me, how could I forsake Him?

The Scriptures say in Colossians 2:7 -- stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught
“Rooted and built up in him” (Colossians 2:7)

It is good for congregations to periodically renew their vows to serve and obey the Lord.

Don’t be of the generation that neglects to tell the next generation about God and His works for His people (including you)!

My generation’s faithfulness is no guarantee that my children’s generation won’t do evil in the sight of the Lord.

I first published these last night in my almost-weekly email Sunday School commentary Thoughts for the Week.

Surely you could add something...
