En ciertos aspectos, ¡cuán diferente es el Antiguo Testamento al Nuevo!<\/p>\n

Por ejemplo, en lo que tiene que ver con nuestros enemigos.<\/p>\n

\u00abHija de Babilonia la desolada,
\nBienaventurado el que te diere el pago
\nDe lo que tú nos hiciste\u00bb<\/span> (Salmo 137.8).<\/p>\n

¡No, no, no! Las cosas ya no son así.<\/p>\n

En esta época de gracia, Dios nos instruye a bendecir a los que nos hacen mal (inclusive, aun a nuestros enemigos). Para el pueblo de Dios, el tiempo de venganza y maldición ha pasado y ha quedado atrás.<\/p>\n

Nota lo que nos instruye el Señor, según se registra en Mateo 5.43-45:<\/p>\n

Oísteis que fue dicho: Amarás a tu prójimo, y aborrecerás a tu enemigo.<\/p>\n

Pero yo os digo: Amad a vuestros enemigos, bendecid a los que os maldicen, haced bien a los que os aborrecen, y orad por los que os ultrajan y os persiguen;<\/p>\n

para que seáis hijos de vuestro Padre que está en los cielos, que hace salir su sol sobre malos y buenos, y que hace llover sobre justos e injustos.<\/span><\/div>\n

¡Qué difícil es eso!<\/p>\n

Fulanos han dejado manco a mi negocio. Aún no sé si sobrevivirá. Pero no quiero que Dios (ni nadie más) les pague por el mal que me han hecho.<\/p>\n

¡No, no, no! Las cosas ya no han de ser así.<\/p>\n

Señor, bendícelos. Y dame fuerza e integridad para bendecirlos yo también.<\/i><\/p>\n
