{"id":1259,"date":"2008-11-02T09:19:47","date_gmt":"2008-11-02T16:19:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/eaf.net\/mvp\/?p=1259"},"modified":"2009-09-26T13:50:19","modified_gmt":"2009-09-26T20:50:19","slug":"hold-to-his-hand","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.eaf.net\/mvp\/2008\/hold-to-his-hand\/","title":{"rendered":"Hold to His Hand"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Danny and Liisa, Liisa and Dan,<br \/>\nWalking together through life hand in hand<br \/>\nRaising a family, doing their best<br \/>\nThrough thick and thin and every hard test<br \/>\nHolding to God and trusting His way<br \/>\nLiving and laughing and loving each day.<br \/>\nTill one day God called<br \/>\nAnd He said, &#8220;Come home, Dan,<br \/>\nI&#8217;d like you to sing in my heavenly band<br \/>\nI&#8217;ll care for your family &#8212; trust Me on this,<br \/>\nThey&#8217;re special to Me and I know they will miss<br \/>\nYou, Dan, as their father,<br \/>\nBut I want them to trust<br \/>\nAnd have faith in Me &#8212; that is a must.&#8221;<br \/>\nSo now picture with me a brand new Dan<br \/>\nWalking with Jesus hand in hand<br \/>\nNow do you not hold to Jesus&#8217; hand too?<br \/>\nAre you seeing the picture in this life so new?<br \/>\nYou on one side, and Dan on the other<br \/>\nJesus between you still holds you together<br \/>\nYes, we must let go and not wish him back<br \/>\nThough our hearts break and we feel such a lack<br \/>\nGod has a grand purpose, a wonderful plan<br \/>\nKeep trusting and hold to His unchanging hand.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>My wife Ruby wrote this yet-unfinished poem for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.caringbridge.org\/visit\/danielewing\">Liisa<\/a>.
