Virtually, that is. On their Web site. And I came across this gem:<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"\/mvp\/wp-content\/wh-promises-b.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/mvp\/wp-content\/wh-promises-s.jpg\"\/><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n<p>Well, that seemed kinda tacky and tactless and hardly in keeping with any kind of reconciliation and civility and statesmanship and bipartisanship and postpartisanship and blah, blah, blah. \ud83d\ude44<\/p>\n<p>So I got curious about what other promises (current or broken) I might turn up there using their search feature. Well, a search for the term <i>promises<\/i> turned up this:<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"\/mvp\/wp-content\/wh-search-b.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/mvp\/wp-content\/wh-search-s.jpg\"\/><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n<p>What&#8217;s with that?! That&#8217;s not a very helpful search feature. Well, I decided to see if Google could do better:<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"http:\/\/\/mvp\/wp-content\/goog-promises-b.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/mvp\/wp-content\/goog-promises-s.jpg\"\/><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n<p>Maybe the techno gurus who run <a href=\"http:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\">whitehouse.gov<\/a> need to use the <i>powered by Google<\/i> option, if nothing else. \ud83d\ude00<\/p>\n<p>Then I remembered seeing a headline that might explain the faulty search feature on the White House site:<\/p>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/mvp\/wp-content\/wapo-tech.jpg\"\/><\/center><\/p>\n<p>Oh, &#8220;it&#8217;s all Bush&#8217;s fault.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Well, that&#8217;s just how the game is played I guess. Nothing seems to have changed in that regard. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>I know, I know. There are weightier things going on there. But a little low-key levity seems in order. \ud83d\ude06<\/p>\n<p>And if the BDS2-afflicted conspiracy cooks want to use my discovery as proof of less-than-the-promised-transparency&#8230;too bad I helped. <img src=\"https:\/\/www.eaf.net\/mvp\/wp-includes\/images\/smilies\/mrgreen.png\" alt=\":mrgreen:\" class=\"wp-smiley\" style=\"height: 1em; max-height: 1em;\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Seriously, though, an appeal to President Obama: More magnanimity, please.
