{"id":1613,"date":"2009-07-01T13:06:47","date_gmt":"2009-07-01T20:06:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/eaf.net\/mvp\/?p=1613"},"modified":"2009-07-01T13:06:47","modified_gmt":"2009-07-01T20:06:47","slug":"on-99e-shedd-cafe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.eaf.net\/mvp\/2009\/on-99e-shedd-cafe\/","title":{"rendered":"On 99E: Shedd Cafe"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>So I took a break from hanging out at Linn-Benton Community College (Albany, Oregon) and went driving south on Highway 99E.<\/p>\n<p>Before I got to the Highway 34 overpass, I saw this billboard:<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"\/mvp\/wp-content\/tangent_sign-b.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/mvp\/wp-content\/tangent_sign-s.jpg\" alt=\"Sign near Tangent (Oregon) for Tangent Mennonite Church\" \/><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve been to that church! If you can&#8217;t go visit them (as they invite), you could at least stop by their website: <a href=\"http:\/\/tangentmennonite.org\/\">Tangent Mennonite Church<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>That railroad bridge looks mighty rusty; keep Oregon green, I say:<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"\/mvp\/wp-content\/two_bridges-b.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/mvp\/wp-content\/two_bridges-s.jpg\" alt=\"Two bridges on Highway 99E between Tangent and Shedd, Oregon\" \/><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n<p>Not knowing where I was going or what I was looking for, I drove all the way through Shedd and missed the cafe. <!--more The rest of the story.... --> So you don&#8217;t do the same, notice it&#8217;s south of the Shedd Market:<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"\/mvp\/wp-content\/shedd_cafe_1-b.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/mvp\/wp-content\/shedd_cafe_1-s.jpg\" alt=\"The Shedd Cafe on 99E in Shedd, Oregon\" \/><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"\/mvp\/wp-content\/shedd_cafe_2-b.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/mvp\/wp-content\/shedd_cafe_2-s.jpg\" alt=\"The Shedd Cafe on 99E in Shedd, Oregon\" \/><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n<p>Here are some photos I took inside, the last showing me fishing out my wallet to pay for the taco salad and Pepsi I had.<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"\/mvp\/wp-content\/shedd_cafe_3-b.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/mvp\/wp-content\/shedd_cafe_3-s.jpg\" alt=\"The Shedd Cafe on 99E in Shedd, Oregon\" \/><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"\/mvp\/wp-content\/shedd_cafe_4-b.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/mvp\/wp-content\/shedd_cafe_4-s.jpg\" alt=\"The Shedd Cafe on 99E in Shedd, Oregon\" \/><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"\/mvp\/wp-content\/shedd_cafe_5-b.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/mvp\/wp-content\/shedd_cafe_5-s.jpg\" alt=\"The Shedd Cafe on 99E in Shedd, Oregon\" \/><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n<p>So if ever you&#8217;re close to Shedd (Oregon), please stop by and say &#8220;Hello&#8221; to the Brian Krabill ladies.
