As I understand this, Steve Yoder lives in Titanyen. I wonder how many people — some of them friends, perhaps — he recognized in the heaps.<\/p>\n

Steve Yoder, who is an administrator at the Menonite mission called Christian Aid Ministries in Titanyen, choked back tears as he viewed the heaps of bodies.<\/p>\n

“This is heart-breaking,” he said. “It’s very grim. It’s very sad. But in this situation that’s the best that can be done.”<\/p>\n

This is a good reminder to pray for the people who know<\/b> those being rescued as well as those who are being dumped. If the foreign teams that go to Haiti in response to the disaster are traumatized by what they see, imagine how this impacts those who live there — nationals as well as aid workers and missionaries. Wow!<\/b><\/p>\n
