Now What?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Andr\u00e9e Seu Peterson lied to cover for her mother, almost immediately recognized her sin, and eventually wrote an article about it.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ll treat you to some tidbits to nibble, then I&#8217;ll explain the question in the title: <!--more--><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Upon exiting the premises I thought to myself, &#8220;Wow, I just lied. I didn\u2019t even think twice about it.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>What has the devil done to us that we dismiss God\u2019s command, saying that lies are harmless greasing of the wheel?<\/p>\n<p>But here is the larger point: What may seem to us as harmless social lying is not without consequence.<\/p>\n<p>Some spiritual barrier has been breached that, once breached, brings your soul into a new dimension.<\/p>\n<p>Once those termites in the foundation reach critical mass, there\u2019s no telling what will happen to the country\u2014after all, how strong is a house that\u2019s entirely built of lies.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"verse\">&#8220;A little leaven leavens the whole lump&#8221;<\/span> (Galatians 5:9).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Andr\u00e9e speaks to an issue that also troubles me: The ease with which we can skirt truth. So I&#8217;m grateful she addressed the subject in her column yesterday at <i>World<\/i> magazine.<\/p>\n<p><strong>But something huge is missing in her piece!<\/strong> I hope it isn&#8217;t missing from her history; just from her article.
