So Google+ is playing catch-up with Facebook again.<\/p>\n

Now it’s by allowing people who don’t have your email address<\/strong> send you an email if they have your Google+ address or profile or whatever it’s called.<\/p>\n

Quoting from an email from Google early this morning…<\/p>\n

Ever wanted to email someone you know, but haven’t yet exchanged email addresses? Starting this week, when you’re composing a new email, Gmail will suggest your Google+ connections as recipients, even if you haven’t exchanged email addresses yet.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

That seems useful enough. Even innocuous.<\/p>\n

But what about people not in your Google+ circles<\/strong>. Can you send them an email too? And much more importantly, can they send you an email?<\/p>\n

Of course! <\/p>\n

If you receive an email from someone outside your circles, it will be filtered into the Social category of the inbox (if enabled) and only after you respond or add them to your circles, can they start another conversation with you.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

“Forget that!” is what I say.<\/p>\n

So I’m glad for an addition in the GooP settings, which I changed from the default:<\/p>\n
