Mrs. Obama: “I’d never forgive him” (speaking of Mr. Trump).

Last I read, both the current President and the former first lady say they are Christians.<\/p>\n

Then they need to forgive anyone they are refusing to forgive. The Lord Jesus (the Christ<\/em> in Christians<\/em>, you know) commands it plainly:<\/p>\n

“And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses” (Mark 11:25,26).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I’m sure Michelle Obama and Donald Trump have read or quoted the Lord’s Prayer. Here’s a part that’s easy to coast over glibly, even unwittingly: <\/p>\n

And forgive us our debts,
\nas we forgive our debtors” (Matthew 6:12).<\/div>\n

Jesus elaborated on that:<\/p>\n

“For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses” (Matthew 6:14,15)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Mr. President, Mrs. Obama — in the name of Jesus, forgive.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Otherwise, you’re damned. The Bible tells me so.<\/p>\n

Here are three more verses:<\/p>\n

“Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven” (Luke 6:37).<\/p>\n

“And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ\u2019s sake hath forgiven you” (Ephesians 4:32).<\/p>\n

“Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye” (Colossians 3:13).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Are you<\/em> refusing to forgive anyone?<\/strong><\/div>\n

\"Father,<\/a><\/p>\n

I need to be forgiven. And I need to forgive.<\/em><\/p>\n

To not forgive is very, very unChristian!<\/strong><\/div>\n
