Warning after warning — that’s this short little book.

Evil and corruption are everywhere, along with deception and hypocrisy.

Don’t fall for any of it!

That’s the warning message in this book.

That must explain why the next-to-last verse came as a blessing, encouragement, and assurance.

“[He] is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy” (Jude 24).

Despite all the evil, corruption, deception, and hypocrisy, the Lord Jesus is able to keep me!

“Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love” (2 John 3).

Grace. Mercy. Peace. God. Truth. Love.

All I need.

This morning peace strummed my heart strings in a particular way.

I really have been needing it the last day and a half.

I’ve been very conscious of my deep need for it, in fullness, in abundance, in completeness.

So I was glad to read this verse this morning.

And I am grateful to God for His promise of peace.

And the hope of peace.

And the reality of peace.
