Can the world see Jesus when they look at my life?
Reading

2 Corinthians 4

God shined in my heart, driving away the darkness and bringing me into fellowship with Him.

Now that Gospel light must shine from me.

“But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost” (2 Corinthians 4:3).

How often do those who need it most miss the Gospel light . . . because it is so well hidden in my life?

“But we have this treasure in earthen vessels” (2 Corinthians 4:7).

[God is the LORD, which hath shewed us light (Psalm 118:27)]
God has shown us light!

The light of the Gospel is the treasure. The earthen vessel is my body. I must allow that light to shine!

“The life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body” (2 Corinthians 4:10).

“That the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh” (2 Corinthians 4:11).

“Can the world see Jesus when they look at your life?”

If not, who loses?

“But we all . . . are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord” (2 Corinthians 3:18).

I don’t know much of what that means.

But I do know that I want to be changed more and more until I am in His image.

“Can the world see Jesus when they look at your life?” (That’s a piece of a song written by a former student.)

I want the answer to be “Yes!”

That will come about only “by the Spirit of the Lord.”

So I again yield to that Spirit.
