“God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God” (Psalm 53:2).

Unless Jesus is living His life in me, I’m not that anxious to have God see me.

Because He just sees more of this:

“Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no, not one” (Psalm 53:3).

But years ago I got cleaned up and redirected by God’s Son Himself!

As I start today, I yield again to the will of the Father.

And by the power of the Spirit, I shall live the life of the Son.

When God sees me…or even when people see me…in fact, when the devil sees me…I don’t want to be this man:

“Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength; but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his wickedness” (Psalm 52:7).

Instead of those three descriptions, I want to be the opposite.

I want to be a man who purposefully turns to God daily…often…for strength.

I want to be a man who has an eternal, unattached view of the material stuff he owns.

I want to be a man who humbly turns from any sin that shows up in his life.
