Look at Him

I asked the Lord to speak to the need of my heart. I told the Him I am feeling so discouraged and desperate.

Then I started reading Psalm 95 (it comes after 94, you know):

“O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation” (1).

The immediate message to me: “Mark, you need to keep Me in view and in focus. That will take care of your discouragement and despair.”

I know.

I forgot.

Again.

Help me!!

I think a lot. (That’s not particularly unique, I know.)

So did the Psalmist:

“In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul” (Psalm 94:19).

But what do I think about?

That which the Psalmist wrote about?

Rarely.

But the times that I do, I find the same comfort which he did. (Thank you, Lord!)

But the delight part . . . .

I want to experience delight in my thoughts — delight in Him.
