{"id":1092,"date":"2009-07-29T06:21:52","date_gmt":"2009-07-29T13:21:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/eaf.net\/pantinghart\/?p=1092"},"modified":"2009-07-29T06:37:18","modified_gmt":"2009-07-29T13:37:18","slug":"am-i-resisting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.eaf.net\/pantinghart\/2009\/am-i-resisting\/","title":{"rendered":"Am I Resisting?"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"reading\">Reading:<br \/>\n<font color=\"white\">1 Peter 5<\/font>\n<\/div>\n<p>What the devil is up to today:<\/p>\n<p><b><font color=brown>&#8220;Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour&#8221;<\/font><\/b> (8).<\/p>\n<p>What I am up to today?<\/p>\n<p><b><font color=brown>&#8220;Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world&#8221;<\/font><\/b> (9).<\/p>\n<p>What God is up to today!<\/p>\n<p><b><font color=brown>&#8220;But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you&#8221;<\/font><\/b> (10).<\/p>\n<p>Unless I remember &#8212; continually, consciously &#8212; life consists of far more than I can see, I frequently will be lunchmeat for the roaring lion. And not only I, but also those for whom I am responsible &#8212; primarily my wife and children and, as patriarch, grandchildren.<\/p>\n<p>Let me also remember &#8212; continually, consciously &#8212; to live by God&#8217;s grace.
