Why should I love another?<\/p>\n<p>Well, let me think.<\/p>\n<p>I should love another because it&#8217;s the noble thing to do and doing so makes me feel good.<\/p>\n<p>So it&#8217;s about me. <i>I<\/i> am noble; <i>I<\/i> feel good. (Except neither of those is true all the time.)<\/p>\n<p>OK, fine. I should love another because he needs it and because he likes it.<\/p>\n<p>Hmmm. So it&#8217;s about the other person. <i>She<\/i> needs it; <i>she<\/i> likes it.
