Mercy! Help!<\/h2>\n

Hear, O Lord, and have mercy upon me: LORD, be thou my helper.<\/i><\/p>\n

I didn’t know what passage to read in the Bible this morning.<\/p>\n

Since it is God’s Word, I figured out it didn’t really matter. Wherever I turned, God’s wisdom and perspective and instructions awaited me.<\/p>\n

So I opted for Psalm 30. (That’s obvious, is it not?)<\/p>\n

“I will extol thee, O LORD; for thou hast lifted me up, and hast not made my foes to rejoice over me”<\/span> (Psalm 30:1).<\/p>\n

Considering I’ve been feeling under the gun and under increasing pressure on several fronts, I knew I was in the right passage for this morning.<\/p>\n

Now listen how the psalm concludes:<\/p>\n

“Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;”<\/span> (Psalm 30:11).<\/p>\n

“To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever”<\/span> (Psalm 30:12).<\/p>\n

Can I endure the mourning and the sackcloth before enjoying the dancing and the sackcloth and the gladness?<\/p>\n

Will my glory (my accomplishments and my strong points) sing God’s praise and not my own?<\/p>\n

Shall I enter into eternal thankfulness with substantial experience in temporal thankfulness?<\/p>\n
