“Let not thine heart envy sinners: but be thou in the fear of the LORD all the day long”<\/span> (Proverbs 23:17).<\/p>\n

Why ever would I envy sinners?!<\/p>\n

“For the drunkard and the glutton shall come to poverty: and drowsiness shall clothe a man with rags”<\/span> (Proverbs 23:21).<\/p>\n

Might my definitions of gluttony and laziness be too narrow…to my “advantage”?<\/p>\n

Is “responsible drinking” forbidden here or elsewhere in the Scriptures?<\/p>\n

When might it be permissible for a Christian to drink wine?<\/p>\n

What is<\/i> the delusion of “strong drink”?<\/p>\n

How is this even an applicable lesson to me or to my congregation?!<\/p>\n
