quicken<\/i> — to make alive; to revitalize; to keep living<\/p>\n
Some days I feel so run down — either physically exhausted or spiritually weak or emotionally discouraged or mentally fragile or morally vulnerable.<\/p>\n
And some days I feel all of that.<\/p>\n
Then I need quickening.<\/p>\n
The last 36 hours or so have been that way.<\/p>\n
So guess what I uncover this morning in Psalm 119:145-160!<\/p>\n
“Hear my voice according unto thy lovingkindness: O LORD, quicken me according to thy judgment”<\/font><\/b> (149).<\/p>\n “Plead my cause, and deliver me: quicken me according to thy word”<\/font><\/b> (154).<\/p>\n “Great are thy tender mercies, O LORD: quicken me according to thy judgments”<\/font><\/b> (156).<\/p>\n “Consider how I love thy precepts; quicken me, O LORD, according to thy lovingkindness”<\/font><\/b> (159).<\/p>\n So…when I am feeling run down, I should call out to Him. But I rarely think of that!<\/p>\n And…when I am feeling run down, I should turn to His Word.
