{"id":159,"date":"2006-03-22T07:46:42","date_gmt":"2006-03-22T15:46:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/eaf.net\/pantinghart\/?p=159"},"modified":"2007-07-22T12:29:12","modified_gmt":"2007-07-22T19:29:12","slug":"seven-times","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.eaf.net\/pantinghart\/2006\/seven-times\/","title":{"rendered":"Seven Times"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b><font color=brown>&#8220;Seven times a day do I praise thee because of thy righteous judgments&#8221;<\/font><\/b> (Psalm 119:164).<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s roughly every two waking hours.<\/p>\n<p>For at least a bit of praise focused on God&#8217;s justice, righteousness, and Word.<\/p>\n<p>And maybe another seven times for praise focused on His other blessings to me.<\/p>\n<p>So I could alternate praise times every waking hour.<\/p>\n<p>I assume that would make it difficult to stay discouraged for very long.<\/p>\n<p>(I have to assume because I have no experience at it.)<\/p>\n<p>Speaking of seven times, this verse reminds me of this one in Proverbs:<\/p>\n<p><b><font color=brown>&#8220;For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again&#8221;<\/font><\/b> (24:16).<\/p>\n<p>I suppose that individual praises the Lord each time (seven, you know) for the grace, strength, courage, desire, and ability to get up and try again after each fall.<\/p>\n<p>Having said all that, I suspect the use of <i>seven<\/i> is meant to suggest that any time is a good time to praise God.
