To know God. To search for Him. To pant after Him.<\/p>\n
That is my desire. Just not a burning, driving desire.<\/p>\n
Not yet.<\/p>\n
But this morning I am both convicted and encouraged by the first five verses of Proverbs 2. <\/p>\n
“My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;<\/span><\/p>\n
“So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding;<\/span><\/p>\n
“Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding;<\/span><\/p>\n
“If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;<\/span><\/p>\n
“Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.”<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
Receive and hide.<\/p>\n
Incline unto and apply to.<\/p>\n
Cry after and lift up for.<\/p>\n
Seek and search for.<\/p>\n
Understand and find.<\/p>\n
Like I said at the beginning: Not yet.<\/p>\n
