We who have been heirs of God for a long time don’t think much of it anymore.<\/p>\n

Well, that was my conclusion about myself as I read through this morning’s collage of verses from Daily Light on the Daily Path<\/a>.<\/p>\n

See what you think:<\/p>\n

If children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ.<\/strong> -Romans 8:17<\/p>\n

If ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise. -Galatians 3:29<\/p>\n

Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God. -1 John 3:l<\/p>\n

Thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ. -Galatians 4:7<\/p>\n

Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will. -Ephesians 1:5<\/p>\n

Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me. -John 17:24<\/p>\n

He that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him I will give power over the nations. -Revelation 2:26<\/p>\n

To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. -Revelation 3:21<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I found myself reading the familiar words…and not pondering anew what a mind-bending privilege and honor is mine. “An heir of God”<\/em> — great, next subject?<\/p>\n

I want renewed awe and wonder and appreciation at my position in Christ.<\/p>\n
