The recipient didn’t recognize the source of her blessings:<\/p>\n

She did not know that I gave her corn.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Not knowing — seemingly out of willful ignorance — the recipient didn’t acknowledge. Or give thanks. Or humbly recognize the source. So…<\/p>\n

Therefore will I return, and take away my corn.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Lessons for me this morning:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Remember the source from Whom all blessings flow.<\/li>\n
  2. Give Him thanks.<\/li>\n
  3. Accept His unending ownership of all and everything.<\/li>\n
  4. Be a faithful steward of what He has given me.<\/li>\n
  5. Presume on it and He will take it back.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Are those accurate, legitimate lessons?<\/b> What do you<\/em> say? And what do you have to add?<\/p>\n

    Oh, and here’s the full reading I engaged last night: <\/p>\n

    The earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof.<\/strong> -Psalm 24:1<\/p>\n

    She did not know that I gave her corn, and wine, and oil, and multiplied her silver and gold. Therefore will I return, and take away my corn in the time thereof, and my wine in the season thereof, and I will recover my wool and my flax. -Hosea 2:8,9<\/p>\n

    All things come of thee, and of thine own have we given thee. For we are strangers before thee, and sojourners, as were all our fathers: our days on the earth are as a shadow, and there is none abiding. O Lord our God, all this store . . . cometh of thine hand, and is all thine own. -1 Chronicles 29:14-16<\/p>\n

    Of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen. -Romans 11:36<\/p>\n

    The living God . . . giveth us richly all things to enjoy. -1 Timothy 6:17<\/p>\n

    Every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: for it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer. -1 Timothy 4:4,5<\/p>\n

    My God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. -Philippians 4:19<\/p>\n

    Here again are the lessons to me:<\/p>\n
