Evil abounds. Evil is multiplying. Spiritual darkness is deepening and extending.<\/p>\n
So the society in which we live continues its accelerated moral collapse.<\/p>\n
Perhaps that is why these verses from Proverbs 5 arrest my attention this morning:<\/p>\n
“Her feet go down to death; her steps take hold on hell”<\/font><\/i><\/b> (5).<\/p>\n “Remove thy way far from her, and come not nigh the door of her house”<\/font><\/i><\/b> (8).<\/p>\n “Drink waters out of thine own cistern, and running waters out of thine own well”<\/font><\/i><\/b> (15).<\/p>\n “And why wilt thou, my son, be ravished with a strange woman, and embrace the bosom of a stranger?”<\/font><\/i><\/b> (20).<\/p>\n “He shall die without instruction; and in the greatness of his folly he shall go astray”<\/font><\/i><\/b> (23).<\/p>\n Take heed! Beware! Fight the good fight!<\/p>\n And don’t lose heart. The situation is not hopeless.<\/p>\n “But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound”<\/font><\/i><\/b> (Romans 5:20).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Evil abounds.
