{"id":200,"date":"2006-05-07T08:13:21","date_gmt":"2006-05-07T15:13:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/eaf.net\/pantinghart\/?p=200"},"modified":"2009-03-27T06:38:37","modified_gmt":"2009-03-27T14:38:37","slug":"seeking-god","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.eaf.net\/pantinghart\/2006\/seeking-god\/","title":{"rendered":"Seeking God"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Where does prayer fit in my life?<\/p>\n<p>If I eat three meals a day, prayer fits into a brief time slot (half a minute, at most?) before each.<\/p>\n<p>Before I go to sleep at night, prayer often fills in two to four minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Many mornings I pray while I walk down and up our one-tenth-mile-on-the-hill driveway; call it five, maybe eight, minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Otherwise I may pray in fits and starts, bits and pieces, through the day.<\/p>\n<p>Rarely (as in, would I need all my thumbs to count?) do I do this:<\/p>\n<p><b><font color=brown>&#8220;And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed&#8221;<\/font><\/b> (Mark 1:35).<\/p>\n<p>Why did Jesus do that?<\/p>\n<p>And why do <i>I<\/i> pray?<\/p>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Where does prayer fit in my life?
