I got to Psalm 138 in my reading early this morning:<\/p>\n
The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me:
\nthy mercy, O LORD, endureth for ever:
\nforsake not the works of thine own hands.<\/span>
\n(Psalm 138:8)<\/p><\/blockquote>\nThat reminded me, vaguely and hazily, of another verse. I found in it 1 Thessalonians, and along the way I found some other verses:<\/p>\n
Being confident of this very thing,
\nthat he which hath begun a good work in you
\nwill perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.<\/span>
\n(Philippians 1:6)<\/p>\nAnd the very God of peace sanctify you wholly;
\nand I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved
\nblameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.<\/span>
\n(1 Thessalonians 5:23)<\/p>\nNow unto him that is able to keep you from falling,
\nand to present you faultless before the presence of his glory
\nwith exceeding joy,
\nTo the only wise God our Saviour,
\nbe glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.<\/span>
\n(Jude 24,25)<\/p>\nNow the God of peace,
\nthat brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus,
\nthat great shepherd of the sheep,
\nthrough the blood of the everlasting covenant,
\nMake you perfect in every good work to do his will,
\nworking in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight,
\nthrough Jesus Christ;
\nto whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.<\/span>
