A request for mercy from the Merciful One who has ample, abundant mercy:<\/p>\n

I intreated thy favour with my whole heart:
\nbe merciful unto me according to thy word.<\/p>\n

The earth, O LORD, is full of thy mercy:
\nteach me thy statutes.<\/p>\n

(Psalm 119:58,64)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I take the closing of verse 64 like this:<\/p>\n

“You who are so merciful and have shown me mercy,
\nteach me Your truths and ways\u2026
\nand so shall I be very merciful also.”<\/div>\n

So, yes. I need mercy — lots of it all the time — for me personally. <\/p>\n

But I also need mercy in my relating with others — that is, I need to have mercy to show them.<\/p>\n
