{"id":237,"date":"2006-06-19T13:04:22","date_gmt":"2006-06-19T19:04:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/eaf.net\/pantinghart\/?p=237"},"modified":"2007-07-22T08:56:43","modified_gmt":"2007-07-22T15:56:43","slug":"keep-it","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.eaf.net\/pantinghart\/2006\/keep-it\/","title":{"rendered":"Keep It!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Sometimes <i>keep<\/i> means &#8220;hang on to and obey&#8221;; other times it means &#8220;guard and protect.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>So then I read this verse:<\/p>\n<p><b><font color=brown>&#8220;He that keepeth the commandment keepeth his own soul; but he that despiseth his ways shall die&#8221;<\/font><\/b> (Proverbs 19:16).<\/p>\n<p>When I hang on to and obey God&#8217;s commandments, I guard and protect my own soul.<\/p>\n<p>And if I don&#8217;t care enough for His commands and for my own soul, then death is inescapable.<\/p>\n<p>I choose life. I want to protect my soul.
