Some folks have been putting a lot of emphasis on “Speaking truth to power.”<\/p>\n
That has its place, I’m sure. At least when it is presented as a personal witness to the spiritual need of the one in power.<\/p>\n
But I know something that’s even better: Influencing power.<\/p>\n
Personally, I think the leaders of China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea are dangerous men on a global scale.<\/p>\n
I also think the leaders of Bolivia, Venezuela, Vietnam, and Cuba pose an ominous threat to God’s people.<\/p>\n
And I’d have to say the same for leaders of Muslim countries such as Saudia Arabia.<\/p>\n
I even view with particular alarm the potential rise to power by a leftist presidential candidate in Mexico.<\/p>\n
Now listen to Proverbs 21:1.<\/p>\n
