This kind:<\/p>\n<p><b><font color=brown>&#8220;Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar&#8221;<\/font><\/b> (Proverbs 30:6).<\/p>\n<p>Let me see what examples I can recall . . . .<\/p>\n<p>Christian leaders must be unmarried. Baptism can be only one certain way. Committed, monogamous homesexual relationships are OK. Only bishops can serve Communion.<\/p>\n<p>I can see easily enough that such addition is bad addition. But I wonder if there are any &#8220;smaller&#8221; and more personal examples.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m thinking of things I wouldn&#8217;t necessarily teach but which I might excuse in my life.<\/p>\n<p>Examples? Disobedience is no problem if the misdeed is &#8220;small&#8221; enough. I don&#8217;t have to honor someone in authority if he behaves dishonorably. Laying up certain earthly treasures doesn&#8217;t matter.
