I know the frustration of failure. Just recently again I experienced the harsh sting of defeat, observing one of “my projects” in apparent collapse.<\/p>\n
It is not given to me to be successful in all my work. I understand that, but I still lose my gladness when my efforts come up short.<\/p>\n
This morning God has reminded me of a better and more sure source of gladness.<\/p>\n
“For thou, LORD, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands”<\/font><\/b> (Psalm 92:4).<\/p>\n I like that!<\/p>\n I need to practice opening my eyes to the works of God around me. And I need to learn to be glad and triumphant in His work.<\/p>\n That verse also made me think of two New Testament verses.<\/p>\n “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them”<\/font><\/b> (Ephesians 2:10).<\/p>\n “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ”<\/font><\/b> (Philippians 1:6).<\/p>\n Because of His work in me and with me and for me and through me, I can know gladness and triumph!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" I know the frustration of failure.
