In a figurative sense, my eye brings light to my body. I can think of my eye as a window through which light enters my being.<\/p>\n

“The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light: but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness”<\/font><\/b> (34).<\/p>\n

When I think of a single eye, I think of an eye with a single focus.<\/p>\n

In other words, it isn’t a wandering eye.<\/p>\n

It knows what is good and right and pure, and stays focused on that.<\/p>\n

I imagine a single eye as a loyal eye. It has determined not to stray from Jesus. (And when it does stray — which will happen — it returns promptly.)<\/p>\n

That kind of eye keeps the entire person in the Way.<\/p>\n

I want both of my eyes to be single.<\/p>\n
