I want to be that man.<\/p>\n

To the praise of the Lord.<\/p>\n

And, sure, for my own blessing.<\/p>\n

Like this:<\/p>\n

“Praise ye the LORD. Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD, that delighteth greatly in his commandments”<\/font><\/b> (1).<\/p>\n

Notice that the man who fears God is also a man who finds great delight in God’s will.<\/p>\n

Gulp!<\/i> Delighting in knowing and doing the will of another??!! Gulp!<\/i><\/p>\n

But I still want to be that man!<\/b><\/p>\n

For the praise of God, yes.<\/p>\n

For my own blessing, yes.<\/p>\n

And also because of this:<\/p>\n

“His seed shall be mighty upon the earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed”<\/font><\/b> (2).<\/p>\n

I desperately want my children to be spiritually mighty while they are here on this planet.<\/p>\n

For the praise of God.<\/p>\n

For their own blessing.<\/p>\n

And for the spiritual prosperity of their own children.<\/p>\n

Alas, I have not excelled at teaching and modeling the fear of the Lord and the delight in His commandments.<\/p>\n

May the Lord — in His abundant mercy and grace — cause them to excel.<\/p>\n
