Today."},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"lectura\">Reading:<\/p>\n<h3>Psalm 140<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<p><span class=\"bible\">&#8220;Surely the righteous shall give thanks unto thy name: the upright shall dwell in thy presence&#8221;<\/span> (Psalm 140:13).<\/p>\n<p>Surely?<\/p>\n<p>Wow!<\/p>\n<p>Then it seems logical as well as Biblical to conclude that one of the proofs (and fruits and measures) of righteousness is thankfulness.<\/p>\n<p>And how about the second part of the verse, eh? <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Way back when, a Brother Lawrence wrote <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/redirect.html%3FASIN=1602665702%26tag=anabaptistbookst%26lcode=xm2%26cID=2025%26ccmID=165953%26location=\/o\/ASIN\/1602665702%253FSubscriptionId=0EMV44A9A5YT1RVDGZ82\" title=\"View product details at Amazon\">The Practice of the Presence of God<\/a>. Though the title has long been food for thought for me, I don&#8217;t recall ever having read the book.<\/p>\n<p>Living consciously, daily, in God&#8217;s presence &#8212; wouldn&#8217;t that revolutionize my life? It seems that would enrich my relationship with Jesus. And with others.
