I think most of the time that&#8217;s due to not focusing on the fullness I truly have.<\/p>\n<p>But that aside, I was impressed again by the first part of this verse:<\/p>\n<p><b><font color=brown>&#8220;The LORD will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish: but he casteth away the substance of the wicked&#8221;<\/font><\/b> (3).<\/p>\n<p>Especially coming as it does before this verse:<\/p>\n<p><b><font color=brown>&#8220;He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich&#8221;<\/font><\/b> (4).<\/p>\n<p>Famish. Poverty. They seem to go together, no?<\/p>\n<p>Well, then&#8230;.<\/p>\n<p>If I were more attentive and more generous in meeting the emotional and spiritual emptiness of those around me, perhaps I would experience so much &#8220;famishing&#8221; of my own soul.<\/p>\n<p>So be generous with encouragement!<\/p>\n<p>And praise.<\/p>\n<p>And commendation.<\/p>\n<p>And attention.<\/p>\n<p>And &#8220;positiveness.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>And all their kin.<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"\/pantinghart\/wp-content\/wiseinheart-b.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/pantinghart\/wp-content\/wiseinheart-s.jpg\" alt=\"[The wise in heart will receive commandments (Proverbs 10:8)]\" title=\"The wise in heart will receive commandments (Proverbs 10:8)\"\/><\/a><br \/>\n<i>from Proverbs 10:8<\/i><\/center><\/p>\n<p><b>A little bit more from Proverbs 10:<\/b> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.eaf.net\/cgi-bin\/webbbs\/lift\/lift.cgi?read=8619\"><font color=green>It&#8217;s Summer!<\/font><\/a><\/p>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Reading: Proverbs 10:1-11 Sometimes I feel so empty.
