Think!"},"content":{"rendered":"<table width=150 border=0 cellpadding=10 cellspacing=0 bgcolor=\"#003300\" align=right align=texttop>\n<tr>\n<td><b><font color=\"#339933\">Reading:<\/font><br \/>\n<font color=\"#ffffff\">Proverbs 14:13-23<\/font><br \/>\n<\/b><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/table>\n<p><b><font color=brown>&#8220;He that is soon angry dealeth foolishly&#8221;<\/font><\/b> (17).<\/p>\n<p>What more is there to say?<\/p>\n<p>Well, a few verses later God says more on the subject:<\/p>\n<p><b><font color=brown>&#8220;He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly&#8221;<\/font><\/b> (19).<\/p>\n<p>Then we have two other verses (among plenty of others):<\/p>\n<p><b><font color=brown>&#8220;He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city&#8221;<\/font><\/b> (Proverbs 16:32).<\/p>\n<p><b><font color=brown>&#8220;Be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry: for anger resteth in the bosom of fools&#8221;<\/font><\/b> (Ecclesiastes 7:9).<\/p>\n<p>So, how do I go about ruling my spirit and slowing my anger?<\/p>\n<p><b><font color=brown>&#8220;Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things&#8221;<\/font><\/b> (Philippians 4:8).<\/p>\n<p>That is hard to do!<\/p>\n<p>But it <i>can<\/i> be done.<\/p>\n<p>And <i>must<\/i> be done.
