{"id":77,"date":"2005-12-02T08:12:36","date_gmt":"2005-12-02T16:12:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/eaf.net\/pantinghart\/?p=77"},"modified":"2007-07-22T12:39:01","modified_gmt":"2007-07-22T19:39:01","slug":"professing-god","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.eaf.net\/pantinghart\/2005\/professing-god\/","title":{"rendered":"Professing God"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b><font color=brown>&#8220;They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate&#8221;<\/font><\/b> (Titus 1:16).<\/p>\n<p>Who is <i>they<\/i>?<\/p>\n<p>Might <i>they<\/i> include <i>me<\/i>?<\/p>\n<p>Could I be so deceived and self-deluded that I don&#8217;t realize my works deny God?<\/p>\n<p>I profess to know God.<\/p>\n<p>And (in this blog, at least) I profess to want to know God.<\/p>\n<p>But what do my works declare?<\/p>\n<p>This reminds me again of Proverbs 16:3 . . . .<\/p>\n<p><b><font color=brown>&#8220;Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.&#8221;<\/font><\/b><\/p>\n<p>I do indeed want to have a right profession. I want to have right works.
