This blog is about panting after God as a hart pants after water. It is about knowing God. And it came about because of my knowledge that I don’t know and pant after God as I ought, and as I wish I would.<\/p>\n
So what am I to make of this verse in Hebrews 8?<\/p>\n
“And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest”<\/font><\/b> (11).<\/p>\n A day is coming when I will<\/i> know God as He<\/i> wishes me to know Him.<\/p>\n Wow! That is so much richer a knowledge than knowing Him only as I<\/i> wish to know Him. My desire is shallow and finite; His, deep and infinite. And I get to know Him that way!<\/p>\n In the meantime, I must continue panting after Him.<\/p>\n In the meantime, I need neighbors and brothers to teach me, “Know the Lord.”<\/p>\n (And I need to teach my neighbors and brothers that very same thing.)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" This blog is about panting after God as a hart pants after water.
