In the KJV he&#8217;s called a profane person.<\/p>\n<p><b><font color=brown>&#8220;Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau&#8230;&#8221;<\/font><\/b> (Hebrews 12:16).<\/p>\n<p><i>Profane<\/i> &#8212; that sounds terribly bad. <i>Ungodly<\/i> makes a good synonym.<\/p>\n<p>From the rest of the verse I learn why God put such an awful label on Esau.<\/p>\n<p><b><font color=brown>&#8220;&#8230;who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright.&#8221;<\/font><\/b><\/p>\n<p>His spiritual heritage, his covenant right meant little to him &#8212; worth as much as a good supper.<\/p>\n<p>Later, though, he developed a panting heart. Alas, too <i>much<\/i> later.<\/p>\n<p>I don&#8217;t want to have an Esau heart.
