The devil is busy. He’s constantly messing with people’s hearts and minds, tempting them here and enticing them there.

I know. I continue to be one of his targets.

But I tend to forget that there are other powerful unseen beings whose attention is also focused on me.

“Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him” (Matthew 4:11).

Thank God for these ministering spirits!

May the Almighty One make them successful in their service to His people today.

“Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance” (Matthew 3:8).

What kind of fruit has repentance produced in my life?

Or what kind of fruit would it produce?

Of what or from what have I repented?

“And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire” (Matthew 3:10).

I wonder what God is doing with the tree that is me.

And what He is yet planning to do.

Oh let there not be an axe in my future!
