So many options in life. So many choices to make. Including these:

“My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee” (Proverbs 2:1).

I get to choose whether or not I will receive and treasure God’s words.

It is totally up to me.

The choice is mine.

I choose God’s Word. I accept His commandments.

With His help, I will treasure and keep them.

With His help, I will live by them.

Today. All day.

And tomorrow. Always.

“To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding” (Proverbs 1:2).

That’s why!

I want to have that kind of interest.

Of late, it seems most of the little reading I do is for entertainment and relaxation.

This reminds me of my need for meatier reading.

Such as is found in this book.

Oh for a heart to thirst for wisdom, instruction, and understanding…like a hart pants after water.
