Hearer. Defender.
The LORD hear thee in the day of trouble;
the name of the God of Jacob defend thee.
Psalm 20:1
Reading:
Psalm 20
Just what I needed to read this morning!
“The Lord hear thee in the day of trouble;
the name of the God of Jacob defend thee” (Psalm 20:1).
“Send thee help from the sanctuary,
and strengthen thee out of Zion” (Psalm 20:2).
“Remember all thy offerings,
and accept thy burnt sacrifice; Selah” (Psalm 20:3).
“Grant thee according to thine own heart,
and fulfil all thy counsel” (Psalm 20:4).
I wonder how many people will pray that for me. (No, you don’t need to feel obligated to comment below that you will.)
I want to remember these verses and the hope I derive from them — I claim them as strengthening reassurance in the darkness that surrounds me.
