Upheld

Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.

Psalm 37:24

Reading:

Psalm 37:1-11, 23-31

How should I respond to the evil and evildoers that surround me?

What do I know about trusting in God?

And about delighting myself in God?

And about resting in God?

Do I keep my way committed to God?

“And he shall bring forth thy righteousness” — am I too prone to defend and explain (and justify) myself?

Am I willing to wait for God to fulfill His promises?

“Depart from evil, and do good” — is God trying to tell me something with that?

[The Scriptures say in Psalm 37:6 -- He shall bring forth thy righteousness]

Complete

And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power.

Colossians 2:10

Reading:

Colossians 2:1-10

What is my role in keeping someone else from deceit?

What do I know about love and unity in the brotherhood?

How are love and unity connected to faithfulness?

“So walk ye in him” — how shall I do that today?

“Beware lest any man spoil you” — how can I tell that’s happening to me?

To what extent is my life “after Christ”?

What is it like to be “complete in him”?

[The Scriptures say in Colossians 2:7 -- Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving]
