Reading:
Philippians 1:1-11

“For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now” (5).

Somebody is thankful for my fellowship?

And tells God so?

Wow! I wonder who all that might be!

Even more, though, I wonder who should be and isn’t…because of me.

What do I need to improve in me so that my fellowship is more thank-worthy?

Here are a verse fragment and a verse from this reading that provide answers to that last question:

“He which hath begun a good work in your will perform it” (6).

“Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God” (11).

Reading:
Hebrews 13:5-16

Give praise and give thanks:

“By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name” (15).

Do good and share:

“But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased” (16).
