At Our Side Porch

We don’t use our front porch or our back porch as ports of entry.

Our side porch faces our garage, our outside parking, and our chicken house. So we use it.

If you stand at the north side, here’s what you might see:

from our place toward Woodburn
looking northwest, kinda toward Woodburn

And at the south corner you might still find these:

Fuschias at Mark's place
Fuschias: looking fake; being real

While I was shooting, another of God’s creatures came, harvesting:

Bee breakfasts in fuschia
bee, breakfasting (I suppose)

Speaking of creatures, if you continue east from our side porch, you end up in the barnyard and its surrounding pasture area:

horses and barn
landlord’s steeds sup
zooming in on supping horses
same subjects, different angle

While I was shooting the broad side of the barn and the landlord’s cavalry, some of his many bovines munched their raw supper behind me.

So I turned to capture (on “film” only, OK?) the closest. As I fired off the shot, our dog Tyke stepped into the field of fire (he didn’t feel a thing):

a calf, a dog
Lesson: If you step into a picture unexpectedly, you may not be in focus.
