Did it go into a coma overnight?
I asked for help — and provided more details — at a wordpress.org support forum, but so far none has been forthcoming.
I finally got it fixed a few minutes ago! I replaced an apparently-corrupted theme file — functions.php, if you must know — and we were on our way. At that point, the blog admin section became available to me again. I updated the theme. And that brought Panting Hart back online again. Thank you, Lord!
