I don’t find myself yearning for God as an hart pants after water.

I know I’m a very needy person. I know God is the answer to those needs. And yet my life is not near as God-ward as a panting hart’s would be.

This part of Philippians 3:8 triggers these musings:

“I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord.”
