Instead of fretting over having justice done to me, I will wait for God to do what He wishes to do.

Rather than continue fuming because my name has not been cleared, I will wait on God’s timing and purposes.

“Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation” (Psalm 62:1).

I will not pursue an aggressive defense.

“He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved” (Psalm 62:2).

I will not pressure or even expect others to defend me or promote my cause.

“My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him” (Psalm 62:5).

Not even by writing this. 🙂

I will wait on God.

I renew my purpose in this. I will try.

Why should I turn to God in my distress? Why should I call out to Him in my need?

How do I know He will listen? How do I know He can help?

Because He has in the past!

“For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy” (Psalm 61:3).

His love, power, mercy, and faithfulness in the past will repeat themselves in the present and in the future.

He is an unchanging God. He is a dependable God. He is a trustworthy God.

So I trust Him.
